Intro
Deidré co-leads the firm's Health Section. She specializes in health and senior care, representing clients such as general acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, home health agencies, hospice, medical groups and foundations, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, multilevel communities, and other health care facilities devoted to quality care for patients.
Deidré has experience guiding clients through issues involving regulatory and licensing compliance, privacy and security compliance – including privacy and security development and implementation, data breach response and reporting, and security incident investigation and response. She also has expertise in new facility developments and expansions, conversions, corporate structuring, Medicare and Medi-Cal certification and reimbursement, contract drafting, operational matters, federal and state fraud and abuse laws, FMV analysis, corporate governance, and business structuring.
Outside of her practice, Deidré is an active member of several senior care and housing focused associations. Before joining the firm, she gained considerable health care legal experience while working in the law and regulatory affairs department of one of the nation's largest providers of health care benefits.
