Litigation and Dispute Resolution
San Francisco

Shannon focuses on representing the firm's litigation clients. Her work concerns the defense of product manufacturers and suppliers and premises owners in personal injury litigation, against individual and class action claims. She also defends clients in Toxic Tort matters. In addition, she has provided advice and litigation defense on matters involving warning label claims, Organic labeling issues under COPA, and Proposition 65 claims.

On top of her litigation experience, she advises firm clients on their obligations to Medicare for medical expense reimbursement and assists in the drafting of settlement language in compliance with the Medicare Secondary Payer Act Of 2007, and has been involved in early assessment and strategy work related to California’s Proposition 37 and its mandatory labeling laws for food producers and distributors.

While attending the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Shannon served as the executive articles editor for the Hastings Law Journal, interned for the Honorable Katherine Feinstein and volunteered at the San Francisco Superior Court's self-help ACCESS Center.

Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Shannon taught, coached and coordinated service programs for Bellarmine College Preparatory High School in San Jose. She was awarded the 2005 Educator of the Year by San Jose Magazine.
