Hanson Bridgett Secures Top Vault Law Diversity Ranking
June 26, 2024 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce the firm has earned the No. 1 Diversity for Women ranking and a top 10 Overall Diversity ranking from Vault Law.
Vault Law's 2025 Annual Associate Survey Rankings were released last week based on over 18,000 associate responses from January 2024 to March 2024.
"Seeing these high rankings in our first year of participation in this survey is extremely validating," said Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Jennifer Matinez, "Hanson Bridgett's Managing Partner is a woman, and at least half of our Executive Leadership Team and Section Leaders are women. We will continue to stand up and double down on our commitment to diversity of all kinds in the legal profession."
More than 180 firms participated in the survey, and firms are rated based on internal quality of life across several categories, including diversity, firm culture, wellness, commitment to pro bono, and more. Associates score their law firms based on personal experience.
Hanson Bridgett ranked in the top 10 in the following categories:
- No. 1 in Diversity for Women
- No. 10 in Overall Diversity
- No. 4 in Technology & Innovation
- No. 8 in Transparency
Hanson Bridgett ranked No. 27 in the overall "Best Law Firms to Work For" category out of 113 eligible firms.

The announcement comes just after Seramount ranked Hanson Bridgett a 2024 Best Law Firm for Women and Diversity and the San Francisco Business Times named the firm a Best Place to Work in 2024.
DEI at Hanson Bridgett
Hanson Bridgett's real-action approach to DEI and the desire to make the legal profession more representative and equitable as a whole is led by Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Jennifer Martinez. The firm is currently headed by a female Managing Partner and a C-Suite that consists of more than 50 percent women and nearly 30 percent LGBTQ+.
Half of the firm's Section Leaders are women, and more than 60 percent of Hanson Bridgett's attorney population are from backgrounds considered underrepresented in the legal profession.
